Open-world Medieval adventure game
Tales of Old: Dominus is a premium role-playing game developed by Hvmana Industries. It's an open-world adventure set in medieval times wherein players must face all sorts of challenges and ordeals to survive in the midst of a broken kingdom. Their choices and actions will shape how the story unfolds.
Much like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Tales of Old: Dominus serves up a gritty tale complemented by brutal and realistic combat. Players will do what they must to ascend the ranks in a time when power is everything and authority commands respect and submission from the people.
Of good and evil
Tales of Old: Dominus centers around the controversial introduction of Prima Nocta rights by the lower nobility that sparks a bloody civil war known as the Battle of Brides. The upheaval ended in crushing defeat, with only a few survivors left, and you're one of them. You must now navigate this post-war time, dealing with the backlash and vengeful treatment from the kingdom and its soldiers.
Your goal in this game is to survive and rebuild yourself in medieval society wherein social standing dictates everything. Choose a career path and gain honor and wealth by any means. Establish a settlement and slowly expand your land to become a noble leading other people. The game features a robust building and crafting system that allows you to do this.
There are various environmental factors and hazards so you need to plan for harsh winter months and possible drought. When out hunting and scavenging, equip all kinds of weapons and armor to defend against anything and anyone you'll encounter along the way. Manage your stamina and master the unique physics-based combat system to ensure victory. The game is still in active development.
Socially driven medieval experience
If you are a fan of action survival games and medieval themes, Tales of Old: Dominus has both and wraps them inside a gritty story filled with social and moral ambiguity. It offers a more grounded experience paired with realistic combat that will be worth having when it finally comes out. Hopefully, more news and announcements become available soon.
